Auditions for the 2022-23 season to be held Monday, September 12 at Daniel Hand High School in Madison.

SYSO Auditions
Auditions are required for new members entering the Shoreline Youth Symphony Orchestra. Auditions are held in June and again in September if there are still openings for instrumentation. The audition is to make sure that the high school student is advanced enough to have a positive orchestral experience.
Auditions are by appointment only and will be held at Daniel Hand High School, 286 Green Hill Rd, Madison, CT 06443.
The student will play a scale and solo piece of their choice and short sight‐reading excerpt. The SYSO audition piece and scales should be at or above the level of the CMEA high school regionals audition selection. These scales and solo pieces can be found at cmea.org under Auditions and Festivals. Please see Audition Information tab at the top of the page.
If you have any questions regarding your audition or what to perform for the audition, you may submit your question by contacting the conductor when you submit your audition request.
There will be a parent representative from SYSO at the audition to answer any questions that you may have. We look forward to hearing from you.
