Our musicians

The Shoreline Youth Symphony Orchestra, Inc includes three orchestras in which musicians can perform.

The Shoreline Youth String Ensemble (SYSE) is an introductory string ensemble composed of young musicians with at least one year of private study or public school experience. This group gives students an opportunity to focus on the techniques and ensemble skills of an orchestra.

The Shoreline Youth Concert Orchestra (SYCO) is a community youth symphonic orchestra composed of advanced middle school and intermediate high school age musicians from the Shoreline towns in central coastal Connecticut. We play a wide range of music to give musicians an introduction to the full orchestral experience.

The Shoreline Youth Symphony Orchestra (SYSO) is a community youth symphonic orchestra composed of advanced high school age musicians from Connecticut. We play the great classical symphonic music as well as original contemporary compositions for orchestra. Our mission is to offer a high quality musical experience in orchestral playing for young musicians.
